Project Description

The redesign of the guest rooms at Zabeel House by Jumeirah was conceived as a refined evolution of urban boutique hospitality, blending intuitive comfort with contemporary aesthetics. Our interior design and specification team set out to reinterpret the existing spatial configurations and visual language of the rooms to deliver a hospitality experience that is as effortlessly stylish as it is functionally superior.

The scope of the project included a comprehensive reimagining of all room types—from standard guestrooms to expansive suites. The design strategy focused on maximizing spatial fluidity through strategic zoning and light-enhancing elements, offering guests a calming sanctuary amid the bustling energy of Jumeirah.

Neutral-toned material palettes were anchored by bespoke joinery and tactile surface finishes. Natural oak wood grains, matte black metal accents, and clean architectural lines create a grounded, cohesive backdrop. Statement elements such as sculptural lighting, soft textiles, and artisanal furnishings offer subtle nods to local context, while bespoke loose furniture pieces were designed to serve dual functions for leisure and business travelers.

The bathrooms were upgraded to include premium fixtures, open-concept layouts with soaking tubs (in selected suites), and backlit mirrors to enhance both aesthetics and function. An emphasis was placed on biophilic touches, ensuring that natural light and greenery softened the lines between built space and wellness-led design principles.

Every detail—from the acoustics of the room to the carefully curated artwork—was specified to elevate the guest journey. Smart technology integrations such as intuitive lighting systems, concealed charging docks, and voice-activated service connectivity were integrated without compromising the space’s tactile elegance.

The resulting design exemplifies a sophisticated, lifestyle-driven hotel experience rooted in Jumeirah’s contemporary spirit and the brand’s commitment to forward-thinking guest expectations.
