Project Description

Inspired by the timeless charm of Venice and set within The Pearl, Qatar, Qanat Quartier is a pedestrian-centric, mixed-use waterfront development that blends Mediterranean romanticism with contemporary urban living. Spanning over 460,000 square meters, this master-planned community comprises 1,032 residential units across 32 apartment buildings and 188 townhouses, offering expansive views of tranquil canals, landscaped piazzas, and open water.

At the heart of the development lies a 200-berth marina with a luxury clubhouse, a five-star 200-room hotel, and 11,200 sqm of retail and F&B space, distributed throughout the walkable district. The design divides the project into nine Venetian-inspired islands, connected by bridges and canals that foster a sense of intimacy, vibrancy, and discovery.

SBD International served as Lead Consultant, providing full master planning, architecture, landscaping, and interior design services. Every aspect—from the underground parking system to the view-optimized layouts—was designed to enhance the human experience while maintaining architectural elegance and contextual relevance. Qanat Quartier is now one of Qatar’s most iconic residential and lifestyle destinations, offering a blend of European charm, Gulf luxury, and effortless connectivity.
