Pranzo Eatery represents a refined hospitality design concept that seamlessly marries modern Mediterranean ambiance with the spirit of communal dining. Located in the heart of Dubai, the design narrative draws upon the warmth of coastal cultures through a mix of natural textures, layered lighting, and subtle visual nods to the region’s vernacular architecture. Upon entry, guests are greeted by a multi-tiered open-plan layout defined by elegant white surfaces, light wood tones, and vibrant accent elements. A statement clock, rendered in mirrored glass and Roman numerals, anchors the transition between the lobby and the eatery, functioning both as a sculptural element and a symbolic gesture that reflects the timelessness of Mediterranean culinary traditions.

SBD’s design strategy for Pranzo centers around the concept of the “Mediterranean market.” The restaurant is organized into zones that reflect food stalls and stations, allowing guests to interact with various live cooking elements. A showpiece brick oven takes center stage, creating artisanal pizzas and freshly baked breads in full view. Industrial-chic lighting paired with soft furnishing choices strikes a balance between urban refinement and relaxed dining, ensuring a cozy yet dynamic spatial experience.

The eatery’s aesthetic language is reinforced by a textural play of timber shutters in muted Mediterranean colors adorning the feature walls, referencing traditional façades of southern European towns. Light floods the interior through expansive windows, with leafy green accents and hanging planters adding biophilic relief. An eclectic blend of seating options, including communal tables and intimate booths, ensures the space caters to both casual diners and private events. This layout flexibility was integral to the brief, given the requirement to host small events and curated gatherings within the space.

What truly elevates the guest journey is the combination of design and gastronomy. The interiors provide a stage for the culinary artistry of the chefs, where food is not only served but performed. With an atmosphere that feels simultaneously upscale and approachable, Pranzo Eatery enhances the perception of what a Mediterranean restaurant in Dubai can be—visually elegant, sensorially rich, and experientially immersive.
