Project Description

Liquor is a bespoke whiskey bar and gastro pub located in the heart of Malahide Village, Dublin, designed to evoke a moody, avant-garde atmosphere with a distinct nod to contemporary speakeasy culture. The client envisioned a space defined by dark, smoky interiors, layered textures, and a palette that captures the spirit of aged oak, brass, and charred timber.

SBD International crafted a dual-entry concept that offers two entirely different guest experiences: a dramatic, discreet rear entrance, evoking mystery and intimacy, and a welcoming, vibrant front façade that anchors the bar within the village’s social rhythm. Inside, the spatial design balances gastro dining with lounge intimacy, blending custom lighting, sculptural furniture, and tactile finishes to create an immersive, sensory-rich destination for whiskey lovers and design-savvy patrons alike.
