Project Description

Set within the heart of Bur Dubai’s Citymax Hotel, The Huddle Sports Bar & Grill was envisioned as a vibrant, welcoming venue where guests could immerse themselves in the electric energy of live sports. SBD led the full interior design and concept development for this now-iconic space, crafting a dynamic bar and restaurant that balances visual impact with a laid-back, athletic character.

The design strategy focused on creating a multipurpose venue where every seat is the best seat in the house. Anchored by a dramatic, centrally positioned bar, the interior is encased in warm timber textures, rustic brick finishes, and metal detailing — evocative of classic American sports bars with a contemporary Dubai twist. Overhead, bespoke geometric ceiling lighting energizes the atmosphere and guides circulation through zones for casual dining, live entertainment, and pool table play.

The furnishings blend comfort and durability: upholstered lounge chairs are paired with high tables and bar stools to create a variety of social settings. Sports memorabilia and dynamic wall graphics complement the multiple flat-screen displays strategically placed to ensure uninterrupted sightlines to every major match. Acoustic planning, lighting balance, and crowd flow were all carefully studied to support live music nights and game-day cheering alike.

SBD’s involvement extended through construction supervision to guarantee design fidelity and quality delivery. The result is a venue that celebrates the camaraderie of sport, the warmth of community, and the spirit of Dubai’s diverse social scene.
