Project Description

We were commissioned to deliver the full architectural and interior design of the Grand Millennium Tabuk, the flagship five-star hotel of Millennium Hotels & Resorts MEA’s luxury portfolio in northern Saudi Arabia. Strategically situated on Duba Road within the Tabuk University Complex, the hotel is a gateway to the city’s rich history and emerging future, just 18 km from the airport and 10 minutes from the city centre.

Evoking the grandeur of the golden age of travel, the hotel’s design takes inspiration from the vintage steam railway era, seamlessly blending heritage motifs with contemporary luxury. The architecture and interiors create a narrative journey—where richly textured materials, autumnal colour palettes, and layered furnishings pay homage to a romantic bygone time, interpreted through a modern lens.

The property includes 220 rooms and suites across six levels, including a Royal Suite, a Millennium Club Lounge, and a comprehensive suite of amenities. SBD designed five restaurants, a spa and wellness centre, and over 1,900 sqm of event space, including a 1,082 sqm grand ballroom and five state-of-the-art meeting rooms. A separate prayer area, luxury concierge services, outdoor pool, business centre, and tailored accessibility features make the hotel a benchmark in 5-star hospitality design for the Tabuk region.
